§ PROGRAMS · Junior-High Math
Grades 7–9
Students learn to break a problem into steps they understand and to see why an equation is set up the way it is. With the concepts secure, the twists in midterm and CAP questions stop being a surprise.
§ 01
Course featuresFeatures
Five design choices that help students think clearly — and score
Lessons follow the junior-high math curriculum and each school’s midterm rhythm, so key concepts are in place before school tests
Beyond calculation, students learn to read context-based problems and take apart CAP-style variations — getting the answer and knowing why
The teacher can see exactly where each student is stuck and fix it on the spot, before problems pile up
Free review sessions before midterms focus on the exam material and fill gaps, at no extra charge
Calculation and reasoning become habits that lay the groundwork for the TNFSH science class, senior-high math and science gifted classes, and the coursework that follows

Real feedback
Taken from public comments on the official STARK Lab Facebook page and LINE messages from parents, translated from the original Chinese (excerpts marked with …). Names are withheld.
She asked to join your class herself because she was interested … These past few days after the exams, even before knowing her results, she has suddenly become a bit more motivated and has ideas of her own. That is a pretty good outcome! Thank you, teacher.
Last summer she took the science-fair training course, and along the way she came to feel deeply that “the most fundamental skill in science is math,” because every experiment needs precise, data-based analysis. So she has been practising math especially hard … Thank you, teacher, for the inspiration.
Junior-high math offers a trial for one single-class fee: your child joins a regular lesson with the class.
Enrollment can wait until they have tried it. Message us on LINE with your child’s grade and current progress, and we’ll check openings and arrange a date.
Junior-high classes do not take direct online enrollment; please check openings and fit on LINE first.
