§ REVIEWS · PARENT FEEDBACK
What parents say
This page collects parents' own words, taken from public comments on our official Facebook page and from messages parents have sent us on LINE — unedited, unpolished (excerpts marked with …), names always redacted. We do not solicit reviews, and we never trade anything for a good one. What you read here is simply what they said, grouped by what is being praised.
For public third-party reviews, see STARK Lab on Google Maps.

The children don't just like it — they love it to the point of near madness
Now he refuses to skip class even with a fever.
Since he started your classes, his interest in physics and chemistry has grown so much and his grades have clearly improved. I used to drag him to every class — now he refuses to skip even with a fever, because “today the teacher is doing experiments with us.”
「A child who whined about every class — not one complaint here.」
STARK got a child who used to whine about every single class to never complain once — and we’re about to enter our fifth year, proud to take part in the 10th-anniversary celebration.
「His eyes light up, chattering about class — until he runs out of battery.」
The best part of STARK: every time I pick my child up after class, his eyes light up and he chatters non-stop about what happened — right until he runs out of battery.
「Hands-on work had quietly shaped how he thinks.」
Take Newton’s third law — we cared about catching the ball, but he said the point is the reaction force! How much force, how high it bounces — work it out, then catch it. … Hands-on work had quietly shaped his thinking: doing, thinking and learning all at once.
「She says Mr. Chen is remarkable — he understands her.」
My daughter says Mr. Chen is remarkable — he noticed she was distracted in class. Schoolwork and everything else had piled up and she sometimes did not want to study; talking helped. She spoke with Mr. Chen once, and she says he is remarkable — he understands her.

More than lessons — an experience that leaves parents and children thoroughly spoiled
One look at the booklet and the fee makes sense.
One look at our course booklet and you feel the money was truly well spent.
「The rare dissection class — not to be missed.」
My child comes every winter and summer break. Their favorites are the elementary science labs and the 7th-grade biology course — especially the rare dissection class. Learning through play, falling in love with science.
「No expense spared — the kid’s ear-splitting recap is the proof.」
The course design spares no expense, and my child’s ear-splitting recap after class is the best proof of it.
「The kids couldn’t wait to open my experiment kits.」
Once the kids knew I had passed the exam, they had long been eyeing my course materials — they couldn’t wait to open the experiment kits. Understanding what science does is how you learn what science can do.
「Mom walks with a spring in her step now.」
Mom walks with a spring in her step now.
「They teach well, keep order — and they are funny.」
She told me: Mum, the atmosphere at STARK Lab is really good. People chat, but the teacher keeps order in class; during problem practice we can talk a little and rest, and anyone too noisy gets asked to leave. They teach well, keep order — and they are funny!
「Head and notebook both came back full.」
Thank you, Ms. Lee, for the two days of class — head and notebook both came back full!

We are not just teachers — we hope to be the mentor a child remembers for life
The help you gave him back then — he kept it in his heart.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks. The help you offered him back then — he has quietly kept it in his heart all along.
「All of it comes down to Teacher Chen’s spark.」
Our first class with Teacher Chen coincided with the pandemic. He proactively mailed a microscope and slides to our home for remote teaching. Our child got into the high school they wanted and still keeps a passion for science — all thanks to Teacher Chen’s spark.
「Taiwan National Science Fair — Local Special Award × MediaTek Merit.」
I’m grateful to Teacher Chen and Teacher Lee for their patient guidance in science fairs from junior high through high school. In the end I won the Local Special Award and the MediaTek Merit Award in Engineering (II) at the 62nd Taiwan National Science Fair.
「All I can say is: you are astonishingly good.」
Our son did not pass the second round for Jiansing Junior High's gifted programme — and thank you for all the time you spent teaching him. He is not the most brilliant child, and he only attended class without revising at home; that his second-round score still came out above average — all I can say is that you are astonishingly good. We will be counting on you through junior high.
「No special preparation — and a result beyond anything we expected.」
It was meant to be a warm-up run, and the result was far beyond what we expected. Apart from the courses at STARK Lab we did no special preparation at all. For an outcome like this we are truly grateful for your everyday teaching.
「He loves Mr. Chen’s class — and his junior-high science has held up.」
Our child loves Mr. Chen’s class, and so far his junior-high science has held up well.
「A true initiation into experimental science.」
Thank you, Mr. Chen, for a year of guidance — a true initiation into experimental science for our child.

STARK Lab is more than a classroom — it is another path for a child
We'd asked nearly every cram school in Tainan — only then did I dare say it out loud: you are excellent.
We had asked nearly every cram school in Tainan. Only after comparing them all did I dare say it out loud: you are truly excellent. Even my husband, who never involves himself in the children's education, cannot stop praising you.
「Taiwan rarely has experiment-first courses like this — you can’t find them elsewhere.」
The courses are diverse and varied. Taiwan rarely has experiment-first science courses like this, and the science-fair experience and training simply can’t be found elsewhere. Thank you STARK for keeping my child top of the class!
「The traits that suit a science class — that is exactly our child.」
Our child had said she wanted to try for the science class; we didn't object, but we hadn't pushed. It was at STARK Lab's information session that we realised the traits the teacher described — the kind of child who belongs in a science class — sounded exactly like the fanatic in our house.
「She looked at the curriculum and said: no trial lesson needed, just enrol.」
I asked her: if your classmates all passed and you found you simply had not prepared enough, how would you feel? Lost, frustrated, unwilling to accept it, she said. Then I showed her your curriculum — and she said she would go directly, no trial lesson needed.
「We were lucky — we got a place early.」
In many city primary schools, science is not taught by a specialist teacher. Our child was lucky to have secured a place at STARK Lab early. I keep reminding him: school science class and STARK Lab are simply not the same thing — please do not compare them.
