Class Size RulesHow It Works
Classes start from 12 students
A class with fewer than 12 students can still run, but the group fee stays the same; the cost of the unfilled places is shared among the group.

Course TypesWhat to Learn
An existing topic, or one made for you
Existing topics (choose directly)
Choose from STARK Lab’s current winter and summer camps or one-day activities; the group fee is based on that course’s published price. Options include, but are not limited to:
· Project camps (five days, about 6–7 hours of class per day, excluding lunch break)
· One-day or half-day activities (2–7 hours)
Custom courses
Designed around your children’s ages, interests or particular needs, including in-depth inquiry into a specific science topic and interdisciplinary STEAM projects.
Custom courses are quoted separately according to their complexity. The process: share your needs → we plan a course outline → confirm content and quote → payment → class begins.

Payment and CancellationPayment
Payment and cancellation
- Once the booking is confirmed, the full group fee is due, collected by the organizer and paid in a single payment.
- Fees are non-refundable once paid.
- If a member of the group cannot attend, the group finds a replacement to fill the place (the replacement must meet the course’s age and other requirements).
- The class date can be rescheduled by arrangement (subject to classroom and teacher availability), with a request made at least 14 days before the original start date.

Choose a mode
Confirm whether you would like an open group or a fully private class.

Confirm the quote
We send a formal quotation: immediately for existing courses, or within about 3 working days for custom courses.

Pay
Pay the full group fee to complete the booking.

Class begins
Classes start on schedule, and your child learns alongside familiar friends.

Off-site TeachingOff-site
We can also teach at your venue
Schools, community centers, companies and more, subject to a check of the venue first.
Venue check
Before teaching off-site, we confirm the venue’s conditions (space, tables and chairs, water and power, ventilation and so on). If the venue does not meet the course’s needs, the content may need to be adjusted or limited, and we discuss alternatives with you in advance. Venue photos or a site visit help us confirm this.
Off-site fees
Off-site teaching carries an additional travel fee, quoted according to distance and course content. Moving large teaching equipment or special apparatus may incur extra transport costs. The off-site quote is provided once the venue has been confirmed.

Group class questions
- QWe have 10 children so far. Can we add more later?
- Yes. You can add students at any time up to three days before the class starts.
- QIf we choose an open group, how many students will be in the class?
- We manage class quality carefully, with a maximum class size set according to the nature of the course and safety considerations. If additional teaching assistants are needed, we arrange them.
- QCan we choose the class dates?
- Yes. Group bookings get priority flexibility in scheduling. Please book early to secure the time slot you would like.
- QCan children of different ages join the same class?
- Generally, yes. We provide a recommended age range based on the course content.
